Hi There!

Thanks for checking out my Photoshop actions! I’m a pretty firm believer that post processing is part of the creative process and these actions are designed to give your photos that little something extra. These actions are basically the same as the ones I wrote for myself, they’ve just got a bunch of instructions in them now to make it easier for you to use.

The best thing is, they’re TOTALLY FREE! I’ve long held a belief that creating art shouldn’t cost you; you should be able to create a vision of that thing in your head without having to pay to be able to do it. This applies so much to the world of photography where there are numerous expensive software packages and photoshop actions that can be replicated with just a little researching on the internet!

But if you think that my time has been worth something, you can always make a donation. I really encourage you to make a donation to an organisation like Oxfam, an aid organisation that I volunteer with. There are a lot of people in the world less fortunate than us, and while we have time to enjoy pastimes like photography, life is a lot harder for them. If you can’t afford to make a financial donation (or don’t have the means necessary), you can offer me anything from beer (mmm, Little Creatures Bright Ale) to a back scratch (pretty girls need not apply, my girlfriend already gives a mean back scratch!), some spare guitar strings (Custom Light 11-52’s thanks!), a ride on a merry-go-round in your backyard or whatever suits your fancy. If you can’t do any of these, just check out my website or flickr stream and leave me a comment or even a testimonal on flickr if you really like me! In fact, I’d love it if you checked out my stuff and left me a comment or two. Nothing like sharing around the love!

Anyways, scroll down to check out the examples of what the actions can do, but be patient. There are a lot of images on this front page, they might take a while to load on slow connections.

So go ahead download the actions from here and if you like them, I urge you to give generously to Oxfam.

Don’t hesitate to give me some feedback either!

Landscapes

Selectively used each filter where it was needed. Darken in the sky, lighten in the foreground, colour pop on the grass and low opacity on the sky.
